China Slate Tiles

China has become one of the major countries producing natural slate stones in recent years. Slate quarries were found in several provinces, and these quarries together produce an amazing range of colors and textures whether it is slate flooring, walling, roofing, and paving tiles.

Natural Cleft/Split/Riven Finish

Antique Brushed Finish

Honed/Matt Finish

Slate can be polished some degree to obtain a honed finish - a smooth surface to the face of slate, a very unique style than natural split finish.

Tumbled Finish

Tumbled finish slate tile offer a warm and classical look, it's widely used for paving and wall cladding purpose.

Tumbled slate stones are mostly produced in the size of 100x100mm , however custom-sizes are available upon request.

Slate Tile specification

standard size

We produce the slate tile in standard size listed below or other custom sizes required:

• 100x100mm (4"x4"), 150x100mm (6"x4"), 200x100mm (8"x4")
• 150x150mm (6"x6"), 300x150mm (12"x6")
• 600x300mm (24"x12"), 300x300mm (12"x12")
• 600x400mm (24"x16"), 400x400mm (16"x16")
• 900x600mm (36"x24"), 600x600mm (24"x24")

However, not all sizes are available with all above slates, because some raw slate slabs available from quarries are small and not big enough to be cut into some bigger sizes. Please inquiry us for more details.

ashlars pattern

Ashlars pattern are different sized slate stones which are cut and supplied together as a set, so the user scan make use these to make a desired pattern. However they can be made from single size tiles as well (i.e. brick pattern).

The slate pattern can be used both indoors or outdoors. More people are using the slate pattern in kitchens or main living areas. If you have an existing concrete patio, walkway or pool deck, you can install the pattern directly over it for a rich look.
